After failing to establish itself in Homs and having lost the battle of Damascus, the Free “Syrian” Army launched an attack against Aleppo.
The FSA managed to seize control of two areas of the city and a large public park. In the process, it stormed several police stations, slaying all the officers.
The majority of the population living in the affected districts has taken refuge in the sectors of the city controlled by loyalists. The FSA would like to erect an Islamic Emirate in the neighborhood of Al-Nereb as it did in Baba Amr, a district of Homs. To this end, it expelled the non-Sunni residents who remained behind, not without first having massacred the families deemed to be “pro-regime”.

In the video, shot by the FSA on July 31, 2012, 15 members of the Bedouin Al-Berri family are lined up against a wall and shot. To be noted is the state of extreme excitement of the Islamists, who for the most part, are under the influence of drugs.
Western journalists “embedded” with the FSA, who were smuggled into Syria by FSA fighters stationed in Turkey, were taken back to the border several days ago to prevent them from witnessing the abuses. They were driven around for a few days by the Public Relations services of NATO, and shown only what it was decided they could see and sometimes staged for them. Yet they persist in describing the situation as a popular and democratic revolution despite having seen for themselves that the fighters came from Turkey and had no support inside Syria except from small groups of religious fanatics.
